If you haven't already noticed, we at analog/shift have a real preference for vintage timepieces over their modern counterparts...

That said, every so often we come across a new timepiece that truly blows our skirt up; be it because of aesthetic design, innovative manufacture movement, history of the brand, some indescribable X-Factor that just "does it" for us, or some combination thereof. That's exactly what happened when we stumbled across this incredible Senator Sixties by Glashütte Original...just look at this thing!

The Senator Sixties may be our favorite piece to ever come out of GO - which is saying a lot as we have the utmost respect for the brand, as well as German-made watches in general.  This stunning piece is finished with a galvanized silver dial with stylized arabic numerals, luminescent hour markers, and rose gold hands.  The magnificent Calibre 39-52 in-house manufacture movement is visible through a display back.  The brilliantly proportioned slim steel case has a diameter of 39mm, and comes paired with a genuine black Louisiana Alligator strap. 

This particular example is in like-new condition and comes with its full kit of box and papers, straight from the hands of its original owner.  Like we said at the beginning, we don't generally get excited about modern wristwatches - but when it comes to this guy, can you blame us?
